Based on the principle of equal representation, the University Assembly (UA) is a body made up of elected representatives from the four university groups.

Composition

The University Assembly is composed as follows:

  • 1 president
  • 1 vice president
  • at least 20 members
  • 1 secretary

plus guests, in particular the Executive Board and experts, who are invited to join meetings as required.

In addition, the University Assembly forms a committee which accompanies day-to-day business and prepares the assembly meetings.

The committee comprises one representative of each of the four university groups, and the secretary.

Participation at ETH

Participation is a central component of the culture at ETH and is enshrined in law. The participation of the four university groups ensures that the Executive Board's decisions are widely accepted and supported - and can be influenced or corrected if necessary.
